چکیده

Despite of the fact that a large variety of stochastic structural analysis methods have been developed during the last years, these methods are still not fully accepted by practicing engineers in the industry (see e.g. Székely et al. 1998). One of the key issues of software development for stochastic structural analysis is therefore to bridge the gap between research results and engineering practice, and hence to foster the acceptability of stochastic structural analysis. Especially a stochastic structural analysis software has to guide the engineer through the analysis process and has to facilitate the interpretation of the results. Furthermore, the software should enable the user to employ his favored tools for the structural analysis part. As a consequence, the software has to provide a graphical user interface (GUI) that supports pre– and post-processing as well as communication interfaces. These requirements can be summarized as communication tasks. An efficient implementation of communication tasks relies on transparent programming interfaces (Roos et al. 1999), as part of the graphical libraries/analysis software to be used on the one hand and of the stochastic structural analysis software on the other. Efficient use of computational resources is another key issue for stochastic structural analysis computations, that are usually very time consuming. This leads to the need of methods for distributed computing within a local area network (Székely et al. 1998). However, parallel processing may be quite ineffective for a high number of short tasks with frequent synchronization. Here, the user definitely needs a guidance whether and how he should apply distributed computing. Solution procedures for the above mentioned aspects and requirements are outlined and discussed.

Performance Analysis Of Mono-bit Digital Instantaneous Frequency Measurement (Difm) Device

Instantaneous Frequency Measurement (IFM) devices are the essential parts of anyESM, ELINT, and RWR receiver. Analog IFMs have been used for several decades. However, thesedevices are bulky, complex and expensive. Nowadays, there is a great interest in developing a wideband, high dynamic range, and accurate Digital IFMs. One Digital IFM that has suitably reached allthese requirements is mono-bi...
